The performance is built around the idea of how perception transforms when the familiar escapes its expected form, and, at the same time, reflects on the mechanisms of judgment that arise when what seemed known presents itself as something else. In the attempt to pursue an identical form, as a response to a standard imposed by an external direction, plurality and the diversity of desires manifest: everything is the same but different.
The choreographic structure is a modular sequence of eight actions, repeated multiple times. The repetition opens up the possibility of variations and interferences in rhythm, dynamics, presence, and meaning in a potentially infinite sequence of possibilities for identity and relationships.

Following the performance: D Talk – an open discussion with the company, offering an opportunity to explore the themes and creative processes behind the show.

elevatorbunker
The collective was founded in 2008 in the deep Veneto region by Matteo Maffesanti and Davide Pachera as an active response to the desire for artistic research in the field of intellectual disability. Their extensive experience in the social sector led them to create a path that, through the performing arts and body language, could become an opportunity for growth and inclusion.
The fundamental goal of the project is to create an open and accessible environment in which individuals can express their creativity, considering their personal characteristics not as a limitation but as an important resource in artistic creation. In 2009, in collaboration with the University of Verona, the collective produced Cinquanta di questi giorni, a short film addressing the theme of sexuality in the context of intellectual disabilities, a project funded by the Veneto Region and distributed nationally by Aracne Editore in Rome.
Since 2013, thanks to the support of Operaestate Festival Veneto, the collective has brought to life performances Shoe and Bestiario Universale, projects that not only constitute a fundamental chapter in their artistic history, but also foreshadow the profound exploration that characterises their subsequent works.
Since 2017, elevatorbunker has been actively involved in numerous international social inclusion projects promoted by the CSC of Bassano del Grappa and is a member of Europe Beyond Access Italia, a network dedicated to discussing and addressing accessibility and inclusion in the performing arts to raise awareness, spread knowledge, and share best practices, while encouraging greater participation and leadership from artists and cultural operators with disabilities.
In 2023, it participated as a partner in the Boarding Pass, Performing No Limit project, supported by the FUS (Italian Ministry of Culture), and also created the performance Delivery, a production by Zebra Cultural Zoo in co-production with the Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Vicenza and with the support of Operaestate Festival Veneto and La Corte Ospitale.
