Festival ORLANDO presents Sottobanco, a project developed with Tea Andreoletti for young people aged 16 to 18 from Alta Valle Seriana and Romano di Lombardia, exploring feelings, relationships, body, identity and pleasure through contemporary artistic practices, culminating in a participatory performance during ORLANDO 2026.

Witchcraft and lesbian and queer worlds share a transformative tension that resists dominant norms and opens up new ways of being. The workshop Magia Lesbica explores this alliance by practising magic as a performative gesture capable of transforming those who enact it and the world around them, activating desire, imagination and affective potential.

The workshops at Festival ORLANDO are back! LOUD! by Collettivo Amigdala is a project that explores the voice as singing, political action, and bodily practice, involving women and people with non-conforming gender identities in temporary choirs based on feminist and gender-sensitive urbanism perspectives, where the voice is regarded as a shared right.

Torna il MERRY QUEERMAS! Il tradizionale evento che ogni anno l’Associazione Immaginare Orlando organizza nel mese di dicembre per incontrare la propria comunità e vedere insieme un film cult che, a vario titolo, è entrato a far parte della cultura queer e LGBTQIA*.

The fifth season of Dance Well Bergamo is starting again, hosted within the spaces of the Accademia Carrara, thanks to the support of four local institutions. Starting from October 22, 2025, every Wednesday. Reservation required.

We are one of the organisations involved in the initiative ‘Spazi aperti per una cultura accessibile’ (Open Spaces for an Accessible Culture), aimed at promoting the participation of people in vulnerable situations in the cultural life of the local area. A workshop for the creation of an installation through the practice of embroidery – a collective ritual to reflect on the unprocessed traces of colonialism and fascism present in the Palazzo della Libertà building.

A workshop by F. De Isabella and Lele Tori aimed at people aged 15 to 25, inviting participants to explore the city and collectively give shape to new imaginaries of public space, reclaiming the power of looking, listening, and exposure, and making visible what lies at the margins of attention.

A workshop that begins with the collective writing of unique, polyphonic, and untamed texts, drawing from experiences, reflections, and readings of queer, feminist, sex-positive, and decolonial manifestos, leading to the creation of a choral composition performed live by all participants under the guidance of artist and performer Gérald Kurdian.

Trespass_Tales of the Unexpected is a dance performance in which some solutions designed for accessibility enhance the audience's perception: the performance can indeed be experienced from multiple viewpoints and audio tracks.

Festival ORLANDO discloses its new edition with a special event. On the occasion of the first event of ORIZZONTI QUEER, philosopher and curator Paul B. Preciado will attend the presentation of his debut film, Orlando, ma biographie politique.

ORIZZONTI QUEER brings forward the 11th edition of ORLANDO Festival with three appointments with the queer cinema. Aristide Rontini has undertaken choreographic research that reinterprets Marguerite Yourcenar's debut novel, Alexis or The Treatise of Vain Struggle, in which the famous French writer brings to life a long letter in an attempt by the protagonist to declare his homosexuality to his wife. 

The workshop by Al.Di.Qua. intends to dismantle, with all the necessary pestiferous care, the myth of the able-bodied and stainless. Free entrance, for a limited number of participants, booking required.

OIDA is the new production of Progetto Amuní - Compagnia Multiculturale, born in Palermo in 2017, made up of young asylum seekers, refugees, economic migrants and second-generation Italians. DJ set to follow.

Panzetti and Ticconi recount the dynamics of power through the evocative value of symbols. In this case the symbol of a rising power that chooses a bird to represent itself. Not a majestic and fearsome raptor like the eagle, an animal often used as a heraldic symbol of power. On the contrary, a bird that communicates fun and quietness by becoming, according to a popular western look, an exotic icon: the parrot ARA.

Orlando Shorts is the festival of queer short films selected by a group of young people under 25 from different realities and associations of the territory. The project, now in its third edition, sees this year a double modality: the short films will be presented in theatres during the days of the Festival, one every evening, and online for free on the Vimeo page of the Festival ORLANDO from 13 to 18 May, on the occasion of the International Day against homo-lesbo-bi-transfobia.

Educare alle Differenze is a national meeting aimed to valorizing differences inside and outside public school through self-training. is a free and self-financed event that will take place, this year, in Bergamo.

A journey that begins at 60, a new beginning for two women who, through dance and their relationship with the choreographer Silvia Gribaudi and her profound artistic research, rediscover their bodies and souls.

Stuntmen and dancers, sportsmen and acrobats, confront and reject one another in Un Poyo Rojo. They face off mirroring each another, similar and different, attracted and spurned. Imagination in power invents a score for the body with a dash of spirit: virility, vanity, conflict, seduction, martial arts and variété, physicality and comedy, ambiguity and desire, hugs and battles, elastic attacks and cheerful resistance.

Un workshop per bambini e bambine di età compresa tra i 9 e i 12 anni, della durata di cinque giorni, dedicato alla preparazione della performance "Sparks 2021".

Abbiamo appreso con emozione che il Comune di Bergamo ha riconosciuto a Immaginare Orlando la Benemerenza Civica 2020 "per l'impegno nella creazione di attività culturali e formative di utilità sociale sul territorio bergamasco e per il lavoro di decostruzione dei presupposti culturali che possono portare a discriminazioni e violenze su base di genere e orientamento sessuale".

Sarà un dicembre di tempi sottosopra, ma nonostante tutto non vogliamo che manchi l’anticonformista tradizionale appuntamento del Merry QueerMas! In attesa di poterci ritrovare al cinema o a teatro, possiamo restare collegat* a distanza. Anche quest’anno non vi faremo mancare i nostri classici biscotti biologici e vegan allo zenzero o al cioccolato e peperoncino. Ma non è tutto...

In occasione del Secondo Atto del Festival ORLANDO riscopri tue fotografie di corpi e di volti a cui tieni, ce le invii, le ingrandiamo, le stampiamo e ti conduciamo in un lavoro con pittura, ago e filo su fotografia. Questa diventa la trama del racconto di un tuo ricordo, di un sentimento. Ogni partecipante trasferirà il proprio ricordo in un risultato artistico creando insieme un tessuto narrativo, di stile e significato.

In occasione del Secondo Atto del Festival ORLANDO arriva il workshop “diverso” che non vi sareste mai immaginati! Dopo un’introduzione teorica e una proiezione di esempi di arte erotica antica e contemporanea, sarete guidati nella progettazione e nella realizzazione di oggetti sconvenienti che verranno esposti durante le giornate del Festival... tutto è concesso!
